In Deals we solve the important problems that stand in the way of value being created, sustained, realised or protected for our clients – working together to aid responsible recovery and growth. Working on iconic deals with national and global clients, we put together major mergers and acquisitions and resolve business crises - from international take-over bids to financial crime investigations and cases of insolvency. We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate.
Capital Projects
Our Capital Projects team consists of a range of talented multi-disciplined professionals who have a background in the delivery of capital projects across multiple sectors including infrastructure and financial services. We support our clients in securing optimum value from their projects or business and provide the expertise they require to navigate challenging, complex situations"
Programme
These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You could sit a selection of professional accounting exams and leave with a graduate job offer to fast track into a second year role upon graduation. You’ll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. So you’ll get a good insight into working life at PwC.
What you'll do
"We are looking for candidates with strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills who are passionate about advising clients to improve their project outcomes. Your role might include:
- designing and delivering transformative project and programme and/ or commercial management approaches across a wide range of industries
- working closely with senior leaders of major global businesses to optimise the efficiency of their capital programmes and supporting them to deliver their intended benefits
- providing expertise to clients who strive to deliver projects within constrained budgets or supporting them through challenging situations.
You’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- proactively assist in the engagement with several clients, while reporting to Senior Associates and above
- establish effective working relationships directly with clients
- contributing to the development of your technical acumen
- keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- continuing to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand."

What you'll need
You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in a STEM related degree (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths) and demonstrate a passion for a career in Capital Project Services. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
You'll need to be a second year undergraduate university student on a four-year degree expecting to do a work placement in your third year.
