This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team supporting two Biology courses: our 4-year MBiol undergraduate course and our DPhil in Biology. You will provide a professional, effective level of support, respecting confidentiality and regulatory processes and contributing to the Department’s commitment to inclusivity. This is a 12-month role to cover a secondment, in the first instance.
Your duties will focus on support for Years 2 and 3 of the MBiol, including organisation comprehensive administrative support for examinations. You will also provide more general support for the student administration team during times of peak workload. You will have the opportunity to undertake training as required to enhance your ability to perform well in your role, including GDPR training to manage confidential data.
You will have outstanding team working skills, a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to process a high volume of transactional work accurately and on time. Good IT literacy and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential. Administrative experience in a higher education environment is desirable, but not essential.

The post is available full time or part time (minimum 80% of full time), fixed term for 12 months.
The location of work will be in the Department of Biology, South Parks Road, Oxford. Some hybrid working is available, in agreement with the line manager.
