The Role…
A Business Analyst who can support the Development team with structured and rigorous analysis on prospective new sites and markets. Responsibilities will include the evaluation of prospective sites, iterations of feasibility models and monitoring of projects from conception to delivery This is of particular importance due to the strategic focus towards opening 5-7 houses per year
Main Duties…
- Performing both quantitative and qualitative research into prospective development opportunities and markets to help inform business decisions
- Providing P&L forecasts based on research as well as benchmarking against current operational site performance; building new and editing existing financial models
- Tracking iterations of P&L forecasts as project schemes, deals, budgets and operational guidance changes.
- Assistance in the presentation of information to a range of stakeholders
- Assistance in communication and coordination between Development and other key functions (C-Suite, Finance, Legal, Membership, Operations]
- Helping in the building of a reference library for the team – incorporating market information, historic deals, build costs and other key KPIs
- Reporting on project budgets and highlighting risks and opportunities to the project
- Running post-investment analysis to understand the performance of newly opened sites vs their underwriting and annual budgets. Taking lessons learnt to reflect into future underwriting assumptions
- Ad-hoc tasks, assisting with supporting the Team
Requirements / Qualifications...
- Strong logical thinker with a strong understanding of formulas
- Strong at Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- 2 years+ minimum working in a financial analysis position
- Process-driven and diligent; strong attention to detail
- Ideally a relevant undergraduate degree/background
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Proactive approach to managing workload
- Creative approach towards new tasks, always looking to improve ways of working and build efficiencies
