Job Summary
A Warehouse Operative needs to be multi-skilled and adaptable who enjoyed working systematically. You will work alone and part of a team and strive to maintain business performance targets. This role can involve substantial manual handling. You will work part of a team to sort, stack and store items ready for dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Using a forklift truck to load and unload deliveries
- Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
- Picking products
- Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
- Performing warehouse inventory controls
- Accurate stock counting and location checks.
- Following safety protocols when moving large packages and heavy equipment
Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- FLT Counter Balance Truck Licence
- FLT Reach Truck Licence
- Warehouse Experience desired but not essential
- Organisation skills
- Reliable
- Literacy and Numeracy
- Ability to meet demands of the job
- Flexible and happy to take on variety of tasks
- Team Player
