Position Overview - Bio Medical Engineer (Support & Service)
Working hours 9-5 with some flexibility – location Buckshaw Village, Chorley, PR7 7EL

Our Clinical Services team provide a value-add solution to our loyal and integral customers, proudly we have a team of Medical Technology Engineers who deliver on critical clinical trials. The position has great variety, you will be involved in the full mix of engineering, project management, customer communications and even get to develop and mentor apprentices.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day: Performance Assurance / Quality Control inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety testing, operational verification procedures, Repair & / or calibrate complex and intricate biomedical (medical devices), laboratory & pharmaceutical products
- Responsible for ensuring all service documentation is completed, timely & accurately on the ERP system e.g., inventory, service history, documented results & relevant transactions
- Continuously enhance your technical knowledge by conducting industry and product related research
- Provide an excellent service to customers’, responding to complex technical inquiries (via telephone, email, and live chat) about the company’s product lines and triage with internal/external customers.
- Assist with the training and development of the apprentices we have onsite, to further their skills and understanding of IV infusion, and the medical equipment we have on site

Experience Required
- A minimum HNC or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering is preferred
- Experience of IV Therapy & associated devices, or experience working with capital medical equipment working in the healthcare sector
- Project management experience is highly preferred
- Experience, certification & a passion for Infusion systems (ambulatory, syringe & volumetric infusion pumps)
- Knowledge of a wide range of sciences including, but not limited to, electronics (analog and digital), computer science/networking, mechanical engineering design
