UK Strategy & Implementation DE&I Manager
The opportunity
The DE&I Manager is responsible for assisting the DE&I Strategy & Implementation Lead on activating and embedding the central DE&I strategy across their areas, delivering on specific elements where responsible to generate impact. The role will support the business by collaborating with and advising leaders and talent colleagues to achieve the central DE&I ambitions, to be executed in-line with overall EY NextWave and EMEIA DE&I plans and goals.

Your key responsibilities
- Work closely with the business units DE&I Sponsors and Talent colleagues to support FS / UKI service lines and CBS functions to deliver the DE&I Strategy and key outcomes
- Support the business units DE&I Sponsors and stakeholders to work with key stakeholders to deliver DE&I activities in the service lines, ensuring they create demonstrable impact against DE&I priorities
- Partner with the business units DE&I Sponsors and stakeholders to implement and monitor DE&I best practice to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce aligned to the central DE&I strategy
- Work with business units DE&I Sponsors and stakeholders to support their respective DE&I SteerCo / Governance, including developing agenda items and supporting presentations/information to share updates, knowledge, and insights
- Identify, monitor and interpret diversity data to determine appropriate areas of focus and input into developing initiatives and solutions aligned with DE&I strategy, both at service line level and across the firm
- Understand global best practice and work closely with the business to advance perspectives, and challenge stereotypes and biases held
- Conduct reviews to reveal any barriers to valuing and managing diversity inherent in HR systems, policies and procedures
- Produce high quality reports and deliverables, including relevant data analysis and research, to educate stakeholders on DE&I best practice
- Build effective, mutually supportive relationship with Business units DE&I Sponsors, stakeholders and service line Talent colleagues based on frequent open communication, well planned priorities and ongoing consultation
- Work effectively and collaboratively across the DE&I team to develop and deliver the implementation of DE&I Talent activities, programmes and frameworks
- Act as a coach to the business and support teams (e.g., Resourcing, BD) to ensure understanding and engagement with DE&I best practice
- Champion an allocated diversity characteristic by developing a robust strategy , implementing identified priorities and consulting with the relevant DE&I Networks and communities
- Support the preparation, delivery and facilitation of workshops and training sessions, as required, to upskill key stakeholders across the employee lifecycle journey.
Skills/Experience required:
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team at all levels of the organisation and with proven influencing skills
- High attention to detail, with expert organisation skills, and ability to work autonomously and proactively in-line with changing priorities
- Can effectively support delivering DE&I programmes, and provide relevant best practice and thought leadership
- Can produce business ready materials and deliverables including comms drafts, guidance documents and stakeholder packs
- Experience implementing end-to-end change programmes in large organisations
- Experience of coaching and advising managers and peers on key DE&I topics, at meetings, workshops or training
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to understand their needs, build trust, and provide challenge
- Can demonstrate high resilience through responding to pressure, navigating uncertainty and overcoming challenges
- Strong experience in data analysis, interpretation and visualisation
- Prior experience implementing and managing DE&I initiatives, preferably in a DE&I role, or in an organisational development / change role.
