UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme Coordinator
Fixed Term Contract from 01 April 2023 until 31 March 2025. This opportunity is currently being offered on a fixed term contract basis of 24 months; however, if budgets allow the contract length may be extended and/or become permanent, though this is not guaranteed. We are currently recruiting for a UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme Town Centres Project Support Officer to act as lead officer to drive and implement the Town Centres programme within the UK Shared Prosperity fund for Medway, in turn supporting Medway 2037 with the Medway Town Centres Strategy.
You will be required to work with businesses, internal and external stakeholders to scope, develop and apply for or deliver projects to support the Town Centres from the Pride in Place fund.
To act as internal lead on delivery/procurement of a range of town centre projects and feasibility studies through the wider UK Shared Prosperity funding streams that will stimulate town centre regeneration, place-making with business and job growth.
Manage and monitor associated programmes, projects, and budgets, have effective communication, PR and progress reporting with excellent report writing for briefings and presentations.
You will be required to have excellent positive relationship management and brokerage with key partnerships such as Town Centre Forums, Safer Medway Partnership, Medway Task Force, Child Friendly Medway, adopting a co-design approach to project development/delivery, acting as key ambassador for the programme.
Effective and collaberative working with colleagues to ensure synergy and coordination with other programmes and funding streams supporting the town centres, such as S106 developer contributions, Future High Street Fund, Heritage Action Zone programmes.
Support the work of the wider Economic Development and Town Centres Team and the overall team manager as required.
