Role Purpose:
The UK Sales Effectiveness Manager role is a visible and critical role supporting the Head of the UK Private Bank to drive effective sales management and growth. This involves shaping and delivering an effective sales framework across the HNW and UHNW continuum, and driving commercial performance, including:
- Embedding a disciplined sales management approach through sales meetings, analysis and insight; supporting market, team and desk heads in identifying opportunities
- Supporting local sales initiatives and campaigns through opportunity analysis, book screening and outcome tracking
- Driving effective client planning for high-opportunity clients; utilising the full ‘deal-team’ to follow through on targeted client activity to support commercial outcomes
- Client Lifecycle Management: Developing clarity on management of client acquisition, activation, relationship deepening and attrition, and using this to drive business growth
- Client analytics: working with centres of excellence to develop client insights and design processes to commercialise insights and drive growth
- Championing sales tools and practices
This role involves embedding deeply into the UKPB business and sales rhythm whilst being part of the global sale effectiveness team – as such, ensuring that global frameworks and initiatives are supported, but appropriately adapted to maximize impact in UKPB.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Have high commercial acumen and have a passion for business performance
- Possess strong financial and analytical skills and be focused on understanding and measuring the performance of the business
- Have a high level of Sales Management capability and an ability to manage high level stakeholders
- Demonstrate proven ability to drive change agendas and implement new approaches
- Have strong influencing and teamwork skills
- Ideally have experience in private banking, ideally understanding front office practices and the sales approach
- Possess a strong digital and data analytics skills and thought leadership on how to deploy across different business models
- Possess high integrity, be capable of driving and implementing change and be passionate about contributing to GPB and HSBC culture and development of people
- Have a proven track record of adding value in global and matrix organisations
