Level 2 Senior Associate - SQM Operations support – Permanent


The opportunity

This is a rare, exciting, and varied role within the System of Quality Management (SQM) Team which sits within the firm’s Risk Management function. Ideal for individuals looking to further progress their career or take the first step into a Big 4 firm. As you will be working across the various service lines you will learn a remarkable amount about a firm allowing successful candidates to access long term career progression.


Your key responsibilities

Your primary areas of focus will be to understand and operate aspects of the current operational platform (including global and local tools/processes) we have created for enabling compliance with the ISQM1 requirements; identify and implement continuous improvement on the operational platform; and monitor and optimize the platform to support key elements of our work that enable the delivery and reporting of our annual evaluation conclusion on the firm’s SQM. You will also Lead the coordination of our annual certification and attestation reporting timetables, including scheduling, system and data preparation and communications to the business

As a Senior Operations Associate you will be working on critical elements at the core of EY’s ISQM1 work and will gain exposure to stakeholders across all areas of the business, including senior firm leadership. You will be supported by leaders who have a strong belief in professional skills development and from day one, you will build broader experiences in a fast paced and dynamic organization.


To qualify for the role, you must have

We are looking for an experienced operations associate who demonstrates a desire to learn and someone who can add value. They will have:

  • excellent and proven organization, communication, and influencing skills to contribute to the delivery mindset of the team. Your ideas will be listened to and taken on board no matter what level you are
  • the ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • possess data processing skills, be experienced in working with IT tools which support controls programmes, and management of internal databases
  • experience extracting, analysing, and providing data and reporting to key stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, with a proven ability to complete tasks in a thorough, accurate and consistent manner.


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • experience of working with PowerBI
  • An understanding ISQM requirements (or the ability to quickly acquire). On the job training will also be provided.
