Full Job Title Typist

Location Leamington Justice Centre

Permanent Contract

Full Time

Salary (£21, 432 - £22, 677)


The closing date for this post is 12 noon on Wednesday 24th May 2023.

Those currently eligible on the redeployment register will be given prior consideration.

The main purpose of the role is to To provide a typing service to include the preparation of full transcripts and summaries of digitally recorded interviews and copy typing of relevant statements to support evidential case file preparation.


Main Responsibilities:

To prepare full transcript and summaries of multi-media recorded interviews, for inclusion in prosecution and pre-charge files.

To prepare typed evidential documents in readiness for prosecution.

To retrieve all multi-media evidential related items required for transcript.

To update relevant IT systems in relation to multi-media ensuring accurate record of location of multi-media evidence.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.


Knowledge:

5 A - C grade GCSEs (including English language) or equivalent.

Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft packages.

Ability to type 50 wpm (to be tested at interview).


Experience:

Experience of working as part of a team.

Proven ability to summarise information accurately, ensuring inclusion of all salient points.


Key Skills:

Proven audio typing skills.

Proven ability to work under pressure, managing a high workload.
