We are seeking outstanding practitioners and researchers to contribute towards the ongoing work of the School of Design and the Royal College of Art more broadly.
Taking a role in the shaping and delivery of curriculum within the programmes in the School of Design, the successful candidate will lead on the organisation of exhibitions and events, deliver workshops, seminars, crits and tutorials, including participating in and chairing examination panels. You will contribute to discussions about the development of the programmes and School and pioneer new ways of teaching and conducting research. This is an interdisciplinary design role and the successful candidate will contribute to all Programmes, particularly Across RCA, the Grand Challenge, Electives and the new Design Futures programme.
Your research will be expected to operate at a high level, consistently producing research outputs of at least 3* REF quality to enable submission to the REF. You will pursue funding opportunities for your research and involve colleagues in collaborative projects and contributing to the rich research culture and environment of the School as described in the School’s Research Plan.
The successful candidate will seek always to promote the college and its staff and students, acting always as a positive advocate for the Royal College of Art. You will have a commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students. You’ll also have experience devising and teaching courses, and setting and assessing written work at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level
