School Led Academic Tutors
(2 positions - 1 Maths Specialist and 1 English Specialist)
£25 per hour for candidates with qualified teacher status
(£18 per hour for unqualified teachers)
Contract type: Casual, part-time, fixed-term from September 2023 until July 2024
Main hours of work: Between 8:30am-3pm, however additional hours or changes to these hours may be negotiated
The School wishes to appoint high quality Academic Tutors to deliver our ‘School-Led Tutoring’ in English and Maths across the curriculum in Years 7-11.
Tutors will work face-to-face with small groups of students to support catch-up interventions, to help students who have fallen behind due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, through the government funded ‘School-Led Tuition’ programme.
Tutors may be qualified teachers or, if not qualified, have at least 2 years’ experience teaching the subject and phase they wish to tutor in. This might include trainee teachers, qualified teachers or non-practising (or retired) teachers or university students.

Harper Green is a large secondary school situated in the South of Bolton and serves a varied community and is a part of Leverhulme Academy Trust. In our most recent Ofsted in January 2023 we were judged as a Good school, in all areas.
