We are looking to appoint a Trust Safeguarding Lead at Ryedale Learning Trust (RLT) to undertake the role of the Trust safeguarding and child protection expert and to act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Norton College.

As Trust Safeguarding Lead you will be responsible for developing safeguarding and child protection strategy and culture across the Trust, leading on safeguarding approaches and championing safeguarding throughout the organisation. You will provide specialist advice and supervision to Trust DSLs, acting as the first point of contact for complex safeguarding and child protection matters whilst ensuring consistent practice across the Trust and providing robust monitoring and compliance.
As the DSL for Norton College, you will provide advice and support to colleagues on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters, be the point of contact and responsible person on site and promote and lead safeguarding strategy and practice.
This is a varied role where you will be providing a fast-paced responsive service, there will be times where your priorities will need to change quickly, therefore you will need to be a proactive problem solver, flexible in your approach whilst maintaining a calm and approachable manner.
