Job description
Our Client a leading Construction company based in the UK and Ireland. With their UK company having a particular focus on civil engineering and industrial projects.
Have a requirement for an experienced Site Engineer. For an initial 2 year project in Perth. With experience of Civil Engineering on FRC structures who has good knowledge of engineering and high quality standards. Has attention to detail and has worked in structural construction and civils
Package £55k + commercial van or travel allowance +fuel car negotiable.
Senior/Structural Engineer
- Strong Heavy Civils & FRC background
- previously worked with a lot of formwork and reinforcement engineering work. – Bridges structures & Base.
- Experienced in Drainage, Earthworks and RC/Steel frame, substructure elements
- Familiar with jump form/slip form systems
- Able to complete steel and concrete take off
- Material take-offs and reconciliations
- Quality control & assurance throughout construction
- Able to Challenge Suppliers on quality of workmanship and look ahead into design conflicts
- Raise a Request for information and technical queries with the designer.
- Develop pre and post-pour plans and checklists.
- Planning of the work activity on a day-to-day basis
Skill set-
- Efficient and able to use CAD software for co-ordinating and checking design’s
- Able to create 3D models for earthworks
- Topographical and structural survey as-builts to a high standard
- 3D machine control use
- Drafting Inspection test plans and check sheets
- Drafting Work package plans/RAMS for the works
- Ensuring correct permitting in place
- Capturing daily outputs and tracking
- Setting out duties and engineering control
- Quantification of materials and take off
