Job description
The post will be supervised and therefore suitable for any doctor who has completed foundation training or equivalent who wishes to take advantage of the unique opportunities offered across medicine in the Newcastle Hospital foundation trust. Clinical: Whilst exact role may differ slightly by medical speciality, we would expect there to be a significant contribution to the day-to-day care of inpatients working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary teams within each speciality. Attendance at outpatient clinics would be encouraged. It is anticipated that development of practical procedures will occur appropriate to each speciality.
A clear timetable of duties will be provided. There will be a required commitment to the medical SHO grade rota which would attract the appropriate enhancement Administrative: Responsibility for in-patient records and discharge summaries for those patients admitted to the ward and communication with General Practitioners as necessary.
