Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join the team here at Culdrose. Working within the Corporate Services Department this role will work across the air station, providing support to line managers in aspects of recruitment, as well as administrative support in SharePoint as well as Executive administration.

The role is accountable to the Corporate Services Deputy Business Manager for providing a streamlined, efficient and effective civil service recruitment and executive support service.
Job description
The primary role of the Business Support Officer is to provide high level administration support to Culdrose, as directed by the Corporate Services Business Manager and Corporate Services Deputy Business Manager within the Corporate Services Team.
Duties to include: supporting recruiting managers across Culdrose in all matters pertaining to the Civil Service workforce recruitment:-
- Support on recruiting processes, including any guidance and assistance with vacancy administration on Civil Service Jobs – to include (but not limited to):
- Creating and publishing adverts
- Arrangement of interviews and interview preparation
- Supporting with onboarding of staff
- Ensure the centralised SharePoint site for ToRs (job descriptions) is up to date
- Supporting line managers in ensuring ToRs are reviewed annually and in accordance with procedure
- To ensure CS staff structure is up to date and accessible
- To produce monthly mandatory training spreadsheet and work with Civil Service colleagues to make sure training is up to date
- Own the Civil Service ‘welcome pack’ for new staff, working with other departments and sections on keeping it updated
- Maintain and update the Civil Service vacancy spreadsheet
- Support line managers is making changes to MyHR
- Secretariat duties in support of formal meetings/hearings as required
- Administration of In Year Reward and Thank You Schemes.
Administrative duties to include (but not limited to):
- Administration of Temporary Memoranda (TMs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Culdrose Standing Orders (CSOs).
- Receive and distribute VTMs
- General administrative support to colleagues (i.e. organising meetings, booking rooms, meeting room prep etc.)
- Act as secretary, under the direction of the meeting Chair, with responsibility for planning, coordinating and updating actions and decisions logs as appropriate for some weekly/fortnightly/monthly meetings.
- Work with the Information Management Team in supporting with any appropriate level sharepoint site administration
Carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested for the level by the Corporate Services Business Manager.
Person specification
Experience:
- Experience working in an administrative role
- Experience of use of MS Teams
- Experience using MS Office to a high standard
- Experience working with managers at all levels

Technical:
