Job description

Local company looking for experienced box truck drivers to run night-time delivery routes. Seven day a week operation looking to add drivers strictly for routes with Amazon.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets using pallet jack at various Post Offices throughout Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform pre and post trip inspections
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Verify delivery instructions via app
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Previous experience delivering AMAZON loads
• Hands on experience with mobile apps and pallet jacks
• Ability to drive up to 4-hours one-way on a nightly basis
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• Clean MVR and background
• Pass drug screening
• Must have or obtain DOT med card
• Smartphone

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $105.00 - $255.00 per day

Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Shift:

• Evening shift
• Night shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Driving: 1 year (Required)
• Amazon: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
