We are looking for experienced and dedicated HGV Drivers to join our team at Roger Warnes Transport Ltd. As an HGV Driver, your role will be vital in safely and efficiently delivering goods to our clients. If you have a passion for driving, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills, this is an exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV vehicles, following traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Plan efficient routes considering traffic, road conditions, and customer requirements.
- Load and unload goods responsibly and in an organized manner.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on the HGV vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics/traffic team, providing updates on delivery progress.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices for HGV driving, safety, and customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
- Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions immediately to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements:
- Valid and clean HGV driving license.
- Flexibility in working hours, including long hours, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits:
- Overtime after 40 hours – Overtime Saturdays – Double Time Sundays
