Job description

Offering the highest quality brands, we are one of the largest suppliers of Oriental foods, sauces and packaging materials to the Chinese take away and wholesale market in the UK and Ireland.

Due to fleet expansion, we require a class 1 HGV driver to join our well established transport team at Kwan Yick, where full training and support will be provided for our role!

Our lorry drivers are hourly paid and earn upwards of 40k annually

About the role :

• £15.25 probation rate
• £15.50 weekday hourly rate, £23.25 Sunday hourly rate
• A full time permanent position
• Usually working between 45 – 55 hours per week
• Usually 3 multi-drop days and 2 haulage / curtain work 2 days a week
• Times of work are usually between 07:00 and 19:00
• Paid CPC and study hours
• Usually 1 overnight every week or two
• Usually 1 Sunday (paid at time and half) every fortnight
• Guarantee of regular and known routes
• New, well maintained Mercedes trucks
• Dedicated team of two assistants to support on multi drops
• Collecting cash payments from customers

About you :

• Holds a class 1 licence, tacho and full CPC
• Must be physically fit due to manual handling
• Takes pride in work
• Be reliable and responsible
• Will be polite to our customers
• Good communications skills
