Job description
Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Agecroft, Manchester, United Kingdom
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: £16 per hour, Overtime £20 per hour
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Agecroft, Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across the UK, ensuring timely delivery and safe handling of goods.
Responsibilities:
Transport goods across the UK in a safe and timely manner
Palletised deliveries to stores and depots
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
Ensure all paperwork and delivery notes are accurate and completed in a timely manner
Adhere to all driving regulations and company policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 driving license
Either 10 hour shifts over 5 days OR 12.5 hour shifts over 4 days, Monday-Friday
Minimum of 6 months' experience driving HGV vehicles
Good understanding of UK road networks
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
