We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and reliable individual to join our team as Studio Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is growing year on year with scope to progress for the right candidate. Must be available to work on Fridays and Saturdays, additional days can be discussed during season. We would love to hear from you if you think you are suitable!
About the role -
We are looking for the perfect person, who with correct training will help the smooth-running in both The Studio + The Sanctuary during appointment days.
Duties include -
- Opening/Closing
- Taking instruction from Bridal Seamstress + Manager
- Customer Service: face-to-face and over the telephone
- Taking payment
- Stock take
- Filming/ photographing elements of your day to show behind the scenes via our instagram page
- General cleaning
Training will be given:
- Basic sewing - hand stitching bust cups/buttons/poppers
- Inspecting dresses prior to cleaning
- Quality checking post cleaning
- Packing wedding dresses for long term storage / destination weddings
- Steaming dresses for collection
Essential experience -
- Excellent organisation skills
- Able to work in a small team but also under your own initiative
- Must be a good listener/make a mean cuppa - sometimes our brides need it!
Desirable experience but not essential -
- Interest in bridal/fashion/textiles
- Social media/video making/ marketing skills
Probation - Three months
Interviewing February 8th 2023.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
