HGV Class 2 Driver
£12.00 per hour, increasing to £12.50 after 3 month probation period.
1.5x overtime rate over 42 hours
Monday - Friday, 6am start
*Permanent position*
We have a requirement for a HGV (Class 2) truck driver to work out of one of our largest stockholding clients, starting as soon as possible. Driving some of the most modern Class 2 trucks, you will be working out of Slider flex Class 2 vehichle.
Our Client is a market leading steel distribution company who require an experienced driver to join their team.
Requirements- What we need from you
- Up-to-date and current HGV 2, Tacho and CPC licences - It is imperative that the successful candidate holds all relevant licences required to drive HGV 2 vehicles
- Personality- It is essential that the successful candidate is personable, approachable and friendly as you will be an ambassador for the company when meeting clients.
- Preferably have Experience in metals- Successful candidates will preferably experience within the metal sector including but not limited to any of the following; Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and Aluminium. Having experience in strapping coil would be beneficial.
Summary
Our client is part of a wider, international manufacturer of metal products who regularly service the Uk, nationwide.
Full support will be provided including an initial training period when you start working for the company.
Examples of What You Will Be Doing Right Away
From the moment you start at the Company you will be hands on in the operational side of the business. You will be working under the leadership of the Transport Manager carrying out daily duties which include but not limited to:
- Driving of an HGV (class 2) truck to deliver goods to customers
- Responsible for checking loads and strapping down of stock
- Ambassador for the company through meeting customers on deliveries
