Delivery Driver (Victoria, B.C.)

Reporting Directly to the Shipping Supervisor, the Truck Driver’s duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Duties and responsibilities

• Check to make sure equipment used by driver is in good operating condition
• Report any problems with equipment if faulty
• Load product on skids according to route
• Make sure total numbers of invoice match the number marked on route sheet for customers before leaving plant
• Put any top up product to finish the load before leaving
• Do deliveries in a safe and efficient time frame
• Make sure all product is accounted for while making a delivery
• Make sure all relevant information is filled out on credit notes
• Make sure all C.O.D are properly received recorded and handed in
• Returns are put in the assigned areas in warehouse when returning to plant
• Pick up empty milk crates and chicken totes from customers
• Drivers must do a post trip when returning at days end
• Ensure truck is clean and tidy

Qualifications

• Class 5 drivers license or higher required
• 5 ton experience an asset but not required
• Clean drivers abstract required
• Experience driving a delivery vehicle preferred
• Excellent time management, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Victoria & surrounding area
