Axtell Limited is a long established and expanding supplier of goods and services to the construction industry. From our Hurtmore depot in Surrey we supply products and services including ready-mix concrete, screed, aggregates, muck-away, grab and concrete pump hire, to the surrounding area. We also supply rapid set concrete for highways throughout the UK.

We are looking for experienced HGV drivers to drive and operate volumetric concrete mixer trucks.

Tasks and duties will include:

• Delivering, batching, and pouring concrete
• Operating mixer (full training can be given)
• Loading mixer with loading shovel (full training can be given)
• Be capable of operating machinery and carrying out routine vehicle checks
• Making sure that the load is correctly secured by use of an easy sheet
• Issuing receipts
• Customer service

To successfully secure this opportunity, you must:

• Have held an HGV Class 2 licence for at least two years
• Have a digital-tacho card and driver CPC
• Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
• Be capable and confident in your ability
• Have a good geographical knowledge of our operating area

We offer top rates of pay and are currently happy to consider hiring on a full time basis or as a self employed contractor. In addition to daywork, we undertake supplies of specialist concrete to the highways industry nationally, therefore there may be the opportunity to undertake night/weekend work at higher pay rates.
