Treasury Operations Assistant
The European headquarters of a global trading company is currently looking for a Treasury Operations assistant to join their London office. They are looking for an all-round flexible team player who is looking to within a treasury role - on the job training will be provided.
The role involves providing treasury operations support and finance administration for offices in Paris, Dusseldorf and Milan, and the London sales departments and employees. The role requires efficient, timely and accurate administration and processing skills
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 7 hours per day between 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch
SALARY: £28-32k depending on experience, plus good benefits
START: ASAP
LOCATION: This is an office-based role located at our offices near Liverpool Street Train Station in London

TREASURY OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily monitoring of banking facilities
- Notifying staff of incoming fund receipts
- Creating templates and entering payment instructions onto online banking systems for subsequent checking, approval and release
- Supporting with SEPA and International payment inquiries etc
- Daily use of SAP
- Aiding in cash management processes including reconciliations and period end close
- Accurate and timely processing of general ledger and journal entries including but not limited to: payments, receipts, deposit and loan entries/rollovers/maturities, bank charges and account transfers
- Assisting in investigation and reconciliation of company ledgers against bank ledgers.
- Booking of foreign exchange contracts
- Maintaining strong working relationships with banks and other internal and external parties daily
- Collating data into spreadsheets
- General administration duties such as filing, mailing, scanning, faxing and copying of documents etc
- Overseas European business trips if necessary
TREASURY OPERATIONS ASSISTANT IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Accounting knowledge
- Accurate and proven numerical skills
- Good time and task management with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Systematic attitude to work and processes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Cooperative, flexible and “Can do” attitude
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
- SAP (preferable)
- Practical payment experience (preferable)
- Understanding of foreign exchange (preferable)
