Treasury Analyst / Team: Finance
This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Headquarters in Boston, MA (this role is not a virtual / remote position)
Wayfair is seeking a Treasury Analyst who will be an integral member of the organization as we build the Treasury function to match the current and future needs of the business. As part of a dynamic strategic finance team at Wayfair, the Treasury Analyst will need to be someone comfortable working in ambiguity and able to help the team scale and optimize its operations, understanding which areas to focus on to make meaningful impact. This person will be highly entrepreneurial, collaborative, analytical, and a creative problem-solver experienced in treasury and financial analytics.
Treasury involves critical activities such as liquidity planning, cash management, foreign currency (FX) trading, bank relationship and account management, letter of credit & bank guarantee issuance, and more. In addition, as a member of the corporate finance team, the successful candidate will also need to be a strong financial analyst and capable of building cross-functional partnerships across the organization both domestically and internationally. What You'll Do
- Monitor and analyze the company’s daily cash position to ensure there is adequate liquidity and prepare a daily report on the global cash position.
- Support Treasury to maintain and rationalize the company’s choice of key global banks including the analysis of bank fee structures, services, relationships, and counterparty credit quality/exposure.
- Facilitate settlements of FX spot trades to appropriately fund different operating entities, maintaining settlement instructions and updating FX mandates with counterparty banks.
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, Accounting, and other Finance stakeholders regarding Treasury transactions and entity structures.
- Assist in executing letters of credit and bank guarantees and maintaining required documentation.
- Maintaining banking records and legal documentation including SOX- and FBAR-related documentation.
- Work with FP&A on developing operating cash flow forecasts, enhance visibility into global cash balances, optimize working capital and establish metrics/key performance indicators.
- Assist with setting up new banking accounts, services, user access changes, and handling bank inquiries and related matters.
- Other duties/ad hoc projects as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant Treasury and/or corporate finance experience.
- Knowledge of the banking industry and familiarity with Treasury instruments and processes such as sending wires, updating banking documents, issuing letters of credit, etc.
- Ability to quickly understand complex transactions and apply finance and treasury principles.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across categories and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient organizational skills to efficiently plan and set priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
