Job description
Our partner aims to make sure the precious and unique natural environment of the Chagos Archipelago is conserved, and can act as an example for conservation and management of such environments across the planet.
They are looking for a new Treasurer to join a dynamic and committed team during an exciting time, as they set out a new five year strategy, as well as being in the early stages of delivering a major new conservation project.
The post holder will play a crucial role on the Board and in the running of the charity, including working closely with the other Trustees and staff to set strategy, maintain strong governance and direct operations. The Treasurer will provide financial and governance expertise and, as well as operating strategically, will be responsible for the day to day financial management of the charity.
The total estimated time commitment for the role is 1-2 days per month, plus quarterly Board and Finance Committee meetings and the annual AGM.
