THE ROLE
Our client is look for an out of hours Travel Specialist who has strong knowledge and understanding of Domestic and International Ticketing. You will have knowledge of ticketing and reissues, GDS experience, and understand airfares. Working hours will be Monday - Sunday 9am-6pm or 12pm-9pm 5 days including weekends.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide a highly quality service ensuring all air, hotel, rail and/or ancillary service reservations are complete and meet the client’s expectations.
- Action all new bookings and travel changes in a timely manner.
- Negotiate the best rates, on behalf of the client, to reduce expenditure.
- Action all client queries, in a timely manner, with accurate and streamline information.
- Ensure all files and records are accurately updated to create continuity within the team.
- Regularly update PNRs in Galileo and ensure they are update to date and following the QC procedures.
- Develop industry and product knowledge through attending training sessions, familiarisations, supplier presentations and events.
- Be an active team member in providing support and guidance.
- Take prompt action in escalating all issues to the relevant management.
- Report, investigate and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
- Process departmental administrative tasks and facilitate accounting queries when required.
- Abide by the company PSP, PCI and Anti-Bribery regulations and report any supplier gifts to the relevant management.
- Aid the growth of the company through potential development leads and referrals.
THE PERSON
You will have strong organisation and prioritisation skills with an appreciation for adhering to strict deadlines. With consistent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy, you will have the ability to adapt within a fast-paced environment.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 7 years experience within the Travel Industry.
- Minimum 7 years experience of GDS, Galileo preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent, in Travel & Tourism.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, ticket exchanges, hotel reservations.
- Self-motivated, collaborative and able to interchange autonomous independent work with being a team-player.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and mailboxes.
- Flexibility approach to working hours.
