The Breast Imaging Department at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust has an opening for an Trainee Assistant Practitioner to join itsmulti-professional team.
Assistant Practitioners in Mammography undertake high quality mammograms under the supervision of a qualified senior Radiographer to screen for early stage breast cancer. In house practical learning takes place in the Mammography departments of The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital,Shrewsbury and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford as well as on mobile units at various locations throughout rural Shropshire. It is thereforeessential that you hold a current UK full driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-o Maths and English at Level 2 e.g. GCSE grade A* - C or 9 - 4 or equivalent.o In addition you must not have a qualification at the same or higher level in the same vocational subject area (Note; therefore you canhave a degree in unrelated subject.)o Must not be studying on any government funded course at the time of taking up the post.o Minimum of 30 hours per work whilst studying
