STM Group are recruiting team Members to join our company and become a Security Officer within the Railway industry.

Working alongside your colleagues on the Tyne & Wear Metro, your main responsibility will be to deter anti-social behaviour issues, Patrolling the various locations and promoting a culture of safety and security by being a reassuring presence, offering help and guidance to the travelling public, creating a safer and secure environment

Hours of work

Full time contracts – 40 to 45 hours per week, You will be working on a rotating shift pattern including weekends. The shifts will comprise of static sites and Mobile patrols across the Nexus network You will expected to cover extra shifts during Holiday & Absence periods which are mandatory. Shift timings are 1500- 2359 with changes for any events and overtime.

To be eligible for this role you must have the following:

· SIA Licence (Door Supervisor)

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

· Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Smart, well-groomed, and confident disposition

· Must have a full 5-year work history without gaps (failure to have this means your application will not be processed)

What you get:

Job Role: Security Officer

Hours: Full-Time, various-hour shifts from 8 ours to 12 hours, (Sunday to Sunday) depending on the on different tasks) rotating shift pattern including weekends with a Guaranteed hours contract.

Location: Across the Nexus Metro wide.

Pay rate: £11.00 per hour

Below are a few duties and responsibilities that must be undertaken:

· To monitor this site and liaise with the client.

· Ensure an excellent level of world host customer service is delivered, respond positively to visitors and questions and be conscious of all visitors to the location.

· Carry out regular patrols of the location and on carriages (trains), station platforms static sites to ensure secure and a health & safety of all Staff and customers working on the network.

· Report faults, health & safety issues, and escalated complaints to the client.

· Complete relevant handwritten and electronic logs as required

· Wear the appropriate uniform (including name badge) and safety clothing as supplied, ensuring that your standard of appearance is high and complies with the company standard

· Following management instructions either written or verbal
