Barrhead Travel is looking for experienced Travel Experts to join us in our new and exciting Touring and Adventure division!
In this role, you will help us drive touring and adventure business by using your knowledge of our product and use your sales skills to convert enquiries into bookings whilst consistently being on the lookout for new opportunities. You will build business through key contacts within your local area including universities and by networking face to face and across social media.
Here’s some key information about the role:
- Contributing to the development of a new business adventure for Barrhead Travel
- Taking ownership for driving enquiries and bookings for Touring and Adventure Travel
- Using personal, and product knowledge to recommend tours to our customers to maximise their experience
- Liaising with our Business Development, Marketing and Web Teams to promote offers
- Marketing yourself in your local universities, student group and utilising networking opportunities
- Communicating in a multi-channel environment including phone, email, social media and live chat
- Supporting customers on their journey and providing assistance where required
- Regularly reviewing competitor activity and feedback to ensure we adapt our offering and keep our competitive edge
- Monitoring The Barrhead Travel website to ensure that it is up to date with offers and campaigns that are being promoted
- Completing all required training modules to ensure you are a true expert
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years travel experience, ideally in the adventure, touring or longhaul sector
- Personal experience of touring and / or adventure travel
- Flexible, motivated and being responsible
- Ability to use your initiative to drive enquiries
- Ability to work on own and fully contribute within the team
- Great communication skills
- Active on social media channels is preferred
- A passion to want to help travellers experience the world is essential
