Job description
We are seeking a Transport Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day management of queries from drivers, customers and clients, and to be responsible for the daily scheduling of work for drivers. The Transport Coordinator will be expected to have a strong understanding of organisational procedures related to planning, scheduling, and contracting duties, and to conduct administrative tasks, as well as respond to internal and external correspondence.
As a Transport Coordinator you will be responsible for analysing and optimising logistical procedures, reviewing, preparing, and routing jobs, and ensuring that drivers schedules run on time. You will be required to communicate and negotiate with suppliers and customers, supervise and organise orders of equipment, and assist the accounts department using Sage 50 Accounts.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience as a Transport Coordinator, with a proven track record of success in managing logistics operations. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organised and detail-oriented, and have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
