We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient & customer focussed service
- Accountable for forward planning of staffing levels for transport operations to drive productivity standards & operational performance
- Ensure colleagues are managed effectively to achieve all required standards of operational performance
- Management of colleague issues in a timely manner, in line with people management policies & procedures
- Responsible for full and effective daily brief/debrief for DHL Drivers and agency crews
- Responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
- Managing transport resources to ensure safe & legal operations, enforce walk around inspections, load security and gatehouse checks
- To schedule, prepare and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines (if only OMS in currently on site)
- Ensuring all drivers are aware of and comply with Accident and breakdown management via DHL standard operating procedures e.g. Golden Hour
- Achievement of all operational KPI's & SLA's
- Compliance with SSOW's, SOP's and legal requirements
