We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Community Development team in the North. This role can be based in Leeds, Manchester, Warrington or Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit group in Yorkshire with exciting plans for expansion. We can offer the flexibility of a balance between home and office working which will help maintain a good work life blend and effective team working.
Our multi-disciplinary team works on a diverse range of projects across all of our development and infrastructure sectors, from strategic urban extensions, logistics parks, and urban regeneration projects. You will work on a wide range of projects, covering major new settlements in the region, the expansion of enterprise zones, and community-based projects from concept through to commissioning and beyond. We create exciting opportunities for the development of our staff and are leaders in our field for the investment in staff development, apprentice programmes, STEM initiatives, and the progression of future business leaders.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in all aspects of our projects from inception to completion. You will play an important role in developing and influencing transport strategies while assisting with the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans. Supervising the junior members of the team will be an important part of your role.
Our pipeline of future work is growing, particularly in the development planning sector. This role will provide you with significant prospects for career progression and personal development, through the delivery of high value quality services to influential clients.
ABOUT YOU
You will be degree qualified ideally in transportation, geography, engineering or a related field.
You will have experience and understanding of the planning system and experience with Transport Assessments, Travel Planning, Junction modelling / analysis and experience of relevant software packages. You will have experience with budget and quality management at project level.
To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, and your passion for transport and experience of delivering quality solutions to clients is most crucial to your success in this role.
