Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all planning activity is within the parameters of customer Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Support the achievement of operational performance as defined by customer contract and KPIs
- Create & support a culture of continuous improvement in routing and scheduling activities to ensure cost down targets are met
- Work closely with the other Control Tower team members to ensure that all operational activities are completed effectively and on-time
- Build trusted relationships with service providers, off-site colleagues and customers to drive supply chain success
- Support other control tower work streams as required
- Work with and develop suppliers to ensure compliance with ordering platforms.
- To ensure that all aspects of the business operate within defined corporate and legislative requirements
- To comply with best practice and highest standards and ensure these standards are consistently achieved, reviewed and improved
- To foster a culture of continuous improvement and “best in class” cost control
- Engage with all relevant HR policies and procedures, participating and contributing effectively.
- Work closely with Line Management in developing a personal development plan.
Requirements
- Experience gained within a Customer service/transport planning environment with UK planning experience
- A good degree of computer literacy, with a comprehensive working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent communication skills (at all levels), good listener and effective in communicating ideas to support the development of good Customer relationships
- Ability to demonstrate logical thinking
- Strong and effective organising, planning and process work methods
