We are currently looking for a Transport De-Briefer to assist the Transport Manager in the smooth running of the busy transport department.
At Oliver Kay Bradford, we recognize that the quality of our Transport team is instrumental to our success. This is an office based role in which the Transport De-Briefer needs to ensure that all drivers receive a de-brief at the end of each day.
You will de-brief drivers, ensuring that DD1 forms are completed correctly, questioning any anomalies such as damages and shortages, and acting as a conduit for general communications between the drivers and management. You will need to be a clear and effective communicator in order to ensure that the right messages are being transferred.
You will be required to carry out formal investigations into incidents and will be required to carry out visual vehicle checks and report damage. You will play an important role in ensuring that service excellence is being achieved within the department.
You will be responsible for ensuring that tachograph information is collected and distributed. You will also be required to take telephone calls dealing with enquiries.
To be successful in this role you will have similar experience of working within a transport environment, particularly within the fast-moving food distribution industry. You will be someone with excellent attention to detail with excellent team ethos, able to effectively communicate and coordinate a team. You will need to be computer literate and confident with entering data onto spreadsheets. You will need an understanding of the FTA regulations and tachographs, and have working knowledge of multi-temperature/drop deliveries.
