We are looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on our day shift in Crick. You will ensure that safety, service and savings targets are adhered to. Working with a team ethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers, whilst gaining trust and respectful business relationships. As part of our transport network operations, you’ll oversee a team of drivers, managing briefs and debriefs.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Co-ordinate the transport operations on site to meet both customer and company expectations- To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
- Ensuring effective and efficient use of the transport planning systems adopting best practise and general housekeeping.
- Recognise peers’ strengths and weakness, offer support to achieve business and personal goals.
- Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
- Proactively prevent accidents and reduce hazards by ensuring that Company Policy, Health & Safety Standards, and standards of housekeeping are always followed across the Platform
- Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
What you need to succeed at XPO:
A good understating of fast-paced transport teams- Experience of working in a Transport environment
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
- Good working knowledge of UK Geography.
- Awareness of Large Good Vehicles and Trailer combination equipment types.
- Experience in a challenging Customer Service environment.
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
