AME Logistic Support Ltd is currently seeking a Transport and Warehouse Manager to oversee a team of 20+ operatives in warehouse and transport operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who excels in people management, health and safety, cost control, and customer interaction, as the role will be based on our esteemed customer's site.
Responsibilities:
1. Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, creating a safe and secure work environment for all team members. Implement and monitor safety protocols, conduct regular audits, and promote a safety-first culture throughout the site.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of 20+ operatives, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your ability to inspire and develop your team will be key to achieving operational goals and maintaining high-quality standards.
3. Customer Interaction: Build strong relationships with our valued customer, serving as the main point of contact and effectively managing their expectations. Proactively address any concerns or issues, demonstrating a customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional service.
4. Cost Control: Drive cost-effective measures, optimising resources, and implementing efficient processes to enhance operational productivity. Analyse budgetary requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to meet financial targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in people management, ideally within a warehouse or transport setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance and promoting a safety- focused culture.
- Demonstrated ability to control costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective customer interaction and relationship management.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills, empowering and inspiring your team to achieve excellence.
