Transport Administrator/Planner York, England
Job description
Candidates must possess first rate communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships. This role involves close liaison with our customers and internal departments on a daily basis.
Duties to include:
- Working with customers/suppliers/drivers and other traffic desks, planning routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure the smooth running of the operation
- Liaise with other departments within the Company
- Proactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slots
- Strong organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loads
- Maintain computerized systems within the department and have the skills to use excel spread sheet
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
- Provide general support appropriate to the management when require
- Ensure that the department complies with Health & Safety rules and regulations as set out by the Company and governing bodies
- All vehicle defect reports are completed and checked daily
- Must have Experience of administration in a busy transport environment
- Monday -Friday
Criteria required:
- Ability to manage change effectively and communicate concisely
- Knowledge of or previous work within the distribution industry is essential
- High degree of self-motivation, with a resilient, persistent and tenacious approach
Earning potential: £34,251-38.000 per annum depend from experience
