Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic Assistant Ecologists to join our ecology teams in Winchester (Hampshire) and Pershore (Worcestershire).

ABOUT CSA

CSA is a multi-disciplinary consultancy spread across five offices. We work with a range of clients, including some of the largest house-builders in the UK, to offer experienced staff and our technical expertise to a range of fast-moving and exciting projects.

We have a range of offices, all located in desirable locations across the country. Our Winchester, Cambridge and Brighton offices are all located within the city centres, allowing easy access to facilities and the office by sustainable transport methods, whilst our Pershore and Ashwell offices are situated within the countryside, offering free parking, brilliant views and easy access to nature when working from the office.

Also, as a multi-disciplinary consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work with landscape, urban design and heritage colleagues to develop a broader understanding of our work. We work hard to keep abreast of the latest industry updates and as such, you will gain direct insights into emerging and exciting areas of work, such as Biodiversity Net Gain.

Reflecting the high-quality ecological services that CSA deliver, we are past finalists for CIEEM’s Medium Consultancy of the Year award. As an enthusiastic and passionate member of the team, you will help play a key role in maintaining high standards and delivering high-quality work to our ever-growing range of clients.

You will help promote our culture of equality, diversity and inclusion, where individuals from a range of backgrounds are encouraged to develop their skills and careers within the company. When you join CSA, you’ll join a network of experienced professionals, leading the change toward a more sustainable future.

  • Use of QGIS and other graphics packages to prepare high quality technical drawings such as Habitats Plans and Biodiversity Enhancement Plans.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, protected species survey reports, mitigation strategies and more.
