This is an exciting time for the George Baker group and due to continued expansion we are now looking for a Transport Administrator to join the UK Transport team.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively using in house systems to input bookings accurately
- Informing customers of any operational issues in a timely manner
- Supporting colleagues in their client management
- Dealing with both customers and hauliers; resolving any issues that may arise
- Further developing relationships with current customer and haulier base
- Accurately checking all inbound and outbound invoices to ensure costs are correct
- Chasing hauliers for PODs and sending on to the customer
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous logistics experience desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers/hauliers
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise own workload
- Self motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hard working
- Proactive approach, problem solving skills
- Experience of using an in house transport system would be desirable
- A desire to develop sales skills would also be an advantage
