Salary: Up to £60k per annum DoE
Contract Type: 18 Months Fixed Term Contract
Join one of the largest UK providers of communications and IT solutions as a home-based Transformation Project Manager! In this key field-based role, you will report to the Head of Transformation and be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects varying in size and complexity. You will also be responsible for the delivery of business strategy, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multi-jurisdictions; challenging corporate-wide business strategies, processes and requirements.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Ongoing responsibility of successfully delivering projects to enable and support business priorities, project commitments
- Planning, driving and delivering transformation projects, track and measure outputs to enable real-time review and forecast for project impact and timeframes
- Maintaining frequent communication with project working stakeholders to ensure everyone is aware of scope, action items, risks, and project changes
- Working with key business stakeholders and multi-jurisdictional continuous improvement champions to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change.
- Working to launch innovative projects on time and within budget and manage allocated resources.
- Demonstrating strong project management skills, including an ability to plan and execute projects that meet cost, resource and outcome expectations; manage complex and/or competing priorities effectively; and meet commitments in an accurate and timely manner
- Resolving or assisting in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
- Supporting the delivery of improved value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business process and identification of better ways of working
- Identifying and on-boarding change ambassadors in key business and project areas; tracking stakeholder engagement
- Completing post implementation reviews to ensure a successful project delivery has been achieved and identify any future improvement opportunities
Minimum 2 years project management experience- Proven track record of implementing business improvements
- Solid understanding of how people undertake change and the overall change process
- Experience and knowledge of change management processes and methodologies
- Experience successfully managing Transformation projects in an Agile environment
- Experience implementing process methods and frameworks including Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, Prince2, MSP or in-house methods
- Experience of Change management processes
- Experience applying lean methodologies such as Kanban, Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping
- Ability to present data clearly and accurately
- Good people skills and ability to influence and motivate others
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as demonstrated by presentation of problems to appropriate people in an objective and non-judgmental manner; matching influence strategies to the situation; delivering oral and written communications with clarity and impact.
- Ability to perform intermediate/advanced computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to negotiate issues and suggestions
- Ability to effectively coach others at all levels in simple to complex problem solving, project management and basic understanding of Lean methodologies
- Ability to work flexible hours if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Desirable to have Prince2 Practitioner
- Desirable to have Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
