This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend, on occasion, your closest geographical office – London, Chesterfield or Glasgow.
About the Role
The Transformation Office Manager is a key role supporting both the Head of PPMO and the Transformation Office Director in providing timely and accurate information and materials to various RMG boards.
This role manages the calendar/meeting invites for the main Transformation meetings and approval boards as well as the drumbeat Portfolio Review Meetings (PRMs). Support the P3M community in using Planview with a particular focus on assuring the quality of the data to enable accurate and effective portfolio reporting.
In this position you will produce meeting packs, through consolidation and analysis of various information flows and inputs from the wider team.
Owning the Transformation Forward Plan, you will pull together and collate inputs from project managers and other sources, ensuring systems are updated to reflect status.
You'll communicate outputs, track actions and decisions from the Approval Boards.
You'll produce high quality, timely materials to support RMG board decision making.
You'll ensure there is a single source of the truth for RMG investment portfolios maintained in the portfolio management toolkit and assure the quality of that data.
Taking the lead on PowerBI development integrated with Planview for the Finance community, evolving dashboards as required.
Work closely with the Transformation Office Director, Head of PPMO and PALs for updates/information in preparation for Transformation Office governance meetings.
Reporting to the Workforce Planning and Systems Manager, you will work to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders including project/programme managers and senior management across different business units up to and including Director level.
About You
To truly excel in this role, you’ll possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
You must be able to develop and establish good stakeholder relationships (up to and including Director level) and maintain effective communication with multiple business units. You will also need to support on multiple activities simultaneously, so it is important you have excellent time management and organisation skills.
Knowledge and experience of P3M processes would be an advantage and/or a willingness to learn best practice in P3M tools and techniques.
A excellent knowledge of MS Excel would be ideal to support in the manipulation and analysis of data together with MS PowerPoint for producing meeting presentations.
Due to the fast-paced nature of the role, you will need to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will need to be an independent self-starter with the ability to influence and challenge others. A knowledge of Planview would also be an advantage, but not essential as training would be given on this.
