Job Description: Department The Finance Department is responsible for all aspects of Financial Control for EDF Trading and the EDF Trading Group, including accounting for, controlling, and reporting on all commodity trading activity, subsidiary entities (holding structured transactions, and specialised investment or operating assets), group accounting and controlling activities, budgeting, planning and forecasting, and all internal and external financial reporting. Main responsibilities The role involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organisation. The main focus of the role is to complete payments, control expenses as well as processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. Responsibilities include: Processing employee expense claims Processing invoices Setting up Overhead payments Maintaining up to date and accurate accounting records in EDFT financial systems Cash postings and allocations Managing unallocated payments report Issuing Intercompany Recharges Completion of multi-currency bank reconciliations Assisting with on-going departmental projects and ad-hoc tasks/reporting General office administration Assist with on-going departmental projects and ad-hoc tasks/reporting Experience required Proficient in the use of Microsoft, must have good Excel skills Understanding of basic accounting functions AP/AR, reconciliations, double-entry bookkeeping is essential. General ledger experience Experience with BACS and Cross Border Payments Ability to problem solve Ability to manage multiple deadlines Experience with Workday would be beneficial Person specification Good numerical analysis skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills within team and across operational departments Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workload effectively High levels of self-motivation and engagement Attention to detail High levels of accuracy Ability to perform checks (including own work) Ability to work individually or part of a team Desire to learn and develop Confidence to ask questions Confident dealing with a range of internal stakeholders ranging in seniority throughout the business.
