Job Summary
The Hospitality Training Manager will have a demonstrated passion for lifelong learning, be proficient in instructional design, and consistently demonstrate operational expertise while working directly with R/A employees from hourly associates to executives, our clients, and key stakeholders. The Training Manager will encourage, empower, train, and develop team members to be their best in their career!
This position is in-office or in-unit 5 days/week. Up to 25% travel should be expected to Boston, Chicago, and DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver training courses and workshops based on our culture of CARE for the employees of the organization
- Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops for the employees and develop appropriate modification, if needed
- Propose learning solutions to address performance gaps
- Partner with R/A Leaders to curate sustainable Program Content for field execution for New Hire Onboarding, Leadership Proficiencies and Training, Tools and System support.
- Partner with HR Business Partners & Safety Leaders to refine and lead all New Unit Opening training and support.
- Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of accomplishments, be forward-thinking and eloquent, be able to quickly gain credibility based on performance and interpersonal skills. This individual must understand that the culture is value driven, and highly entrepreneurial. This person must be a strong leader with proven strategic abilities, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to work at the highest levels of an organization while relating well to the general workforce.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum two + years of experience in training, curriculum development/instructional design
- Demonstrated ability to create training materials: eLearning courses, facilitator guides and participant workbooks
- Preferred experience in luxury business setting; Management experience within the hospitality industry a plus
- Be proficient in distance learning including delivering training in virtual classroom environment
- Excellent stand-up delivery and facilitation skills that drive key learning outcomes and empower application beyond the classroom; Dynamic, self-motivated individual who is comfortable speaking in large groups and with all levels of management
- Clear understanding of adult learning and the role it plays in facilitating learning
- Strategic problem solver, business partner, facilitator of change and ability to effectively evaluate and resolve path forward with emotional intelligence.
