We have an excellent opportunity for a Learning & Development Advisor to join our People team.
Based from our offices in Wakefield or Warrington with hybrid working
Travel to other sites is required and a driving license and own transport is ideal.
Main responsibilities:
· Develop and deliver an effective induction and onboarding journey for new starters.
· Develop key relationships with new starters - support them with ongoing advice and guidance
· Evaluate and improve induction content to align with business change and growth
· Support the development of bespoke inductions for senior level new starters
· Develop and deliver on boarding for Apprentices from induction to end-point-assessments.
· Source, manage and build effective relationships with Apprentice providers
· Manage the Apprenticeship levy and the government portal to maximise ROI and levy pot.
· Train apprentices in the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to begin a career at Sharp
· Work with external training providers on continuous development of apprentices
· Manage and evolve the apprenticeship programme to reflect key business initiatives.
· Develop a KIT and continuous feedback mechanism to Apprentice managers
· Develop L&D offering - content and courses, utilisation of E Learning platform
· Support the design and implementation of career pathways and succession opportunities
· Work with internal stakeholders to support training requirements of new starters.
· Provide tailored 121 support to address specific knowledge, skills and competence gaps
· Support with MI, to record, monitor and control L&D activities including training budgets
Requirements:
- Experience in an L&D role, ideally with multi-site experience in a commercial environment.
- Professional qualification as a L&D practitioner (ideally)
- Previous experience in developing and managing Apprentice programmes.
- Proven delivery skills with a focus on engagement in learning
- Track record of acting as a partner, working collaboratively to make change happen
- Strong team player, willing to roll their sleeves up and get the job done.
- Highly resilient with a proven ability to adapt to change.
- Have the courage to challenge, give feedback and have difficult conversations.
- Role modelling our standards and demonstrating CPD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas /information to stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail
- Flexible in approach to work
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritise.
