Job Title: Learning & Development Specialist
Location: South Kensington, When not in South Kensington or delivering training sessions, WFH is available | Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours flexi
Salary: circa £50,000 DOE
As a Learning & Development Specialist at Chestertons, your role will involve partnering with business leaders and the wider People & Culture team to drive innovative learning solutions and foster a culture of learning, development, and engagement within the organisation. You will work as part of a high-performing Learning & Development team, focusing initially on the Residential & Operational Sales & Lettings teams and creating an industry-leading induction & onboarding experience for all employees.
Main Responsibilities:
Designing and delivering a wide range of blended and engaging learning experiences: You will develop digital, virtual, and face-to-face learning programs, including onboarding/induction, technical training, and behavioural capability building
- Instructional design and deployment: You will leverage your expertise in instructional design to create effective learning materials. You should have a working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) to deliver and track training
- Facilitation and collaboration: You will lead focus or working groups to generate user-driven content and collaborate with internal and external partners/providers to provide diverse learning experiences, including professional and industry qualifications
- Data analysis and reporting: You will provide data, insights, and reports on learning and development performance and impact, demonstrating the value and effectiveness of the programs implemented
- Performance consulting: You will act as a performance consultant and learning expert during the design process, ensuring that the learning experiences address specific business problems. Additionally, you may represent the L&D team in complex business projects when required
In addition to the above, here are some example day-to-day activities you may undertake:
Learning Technology:
- Organising and ensuring easy access to digital learning resources through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Creating reports to analyse data and gain insights into agreed-upon learning and development metrics
- Managing and deploying content within the LMS, including categorization, program organisation, hierarchies, and approvals
- Developing a schedule for content renewal, updates, and usage to keep the learning materials relevant and up to date
Induction & Onboarding:
- Organising and ensuring easy access to digital learning resources through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Creating reports to analyse data and gain insights into agreed-upon learning and development metrics
- Managing and deploying content within the LMS, including categorization, program organisation, hierarchies, and approvals
- Developing a schedule for content renewal, updates, and usage to keep the learning materials relevant and up to date
Essential Learning:
- Developing and delivering content that helps employees acquire the necessary knowledge, tools, and processes to meet Chestertons objectives
- Collaborating with content owners to refresh and update training materials and assessments according to regulatory requirements and governance
Desired Attributes:
- This role requires someone with strong relationship-building skills,
- effective communication abilities, and the confidence to lead and facilitate training sessions
- Previous experience in the estate agency industry and/or a significant understanding of the industry is preferred but not essential
- Face-to-face delivery of training will take place in various locations around London, with a team base in South Kensington
