Who we are: Subsea Craft (SSC) is a fast growing, privately-funded, UK-based SME delivering Advanced Maritime Technology. We leverage our team’s defence experience with cross-industry partnerships in the field of advanced naval engineering. Our flagship product, VICTA, is a Diver Delivery Unit - a surface submersible craft designed to operate at speed over range and capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery and recovery of divers. It is a unique, innovative British product focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and dynamic Training Manager to design, develop, and implement a training programme for VICTA Maintenance Engineers, and assist with the management of craft operator (pilot) training delivery. You will be responsible for conducting, and periodically reviewing, a training needs analysis to develop a comprehensive technical training programme. Once established you will lead and coordinate the delivery of the programme to provide technical training to both SSC and end-user teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a training programme from its grass routes and work closely with trainees and end-users to realise the results of your efforts. Building close and enduring relationships with the engineering teams you train; you will engage with and visit teams to review learning outcomes and help refine training delivery, in a culture of continuous improvement; adapting and expanding the programme to enhance operational effectiveness in line with feedback and technological development.

The Role:
- You will report to the Head of Training within the Client Support Directorate.
- Working closely with engineering and design teams to understand the technology, you will learn complex craft systems and the engineering practices required to keep VICTA mission ready.
- You will develop a deep understanding of VICTA operations and will work closely with our in-house engineering teams to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and ensure that training programmes are aligned with the latest industry best practices.
- Design, develop, and implement training programmes to educate SSC clients on the safe and effective maintenance and engineering support of our products.
- Create training materials, including manuals, videos, and presentations.
- Conduct in-person and virtual shore-based training sessions.
- Review and evaluate the training programmes and procedures and instigate continuous improvement measures where applicable.
- Manage and maintain training records and certifications for clients and SSC staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
- Take on small projects in support of the main Delivery Programme.
