As a Training Manager you’ll be at the heart of our busy Supply Chain and Service Operations. Working as part of a small team, you’ll lead approx. 6-8 Technical Trainers in the design and delivery of enthusiastic hands-on training to approx. 6000 a year new and existing colleagues from our four training academies in Bristol, Bolton, Newark-on-Trent and Tilbury.
That’s not all, you’ll partner and consult with key stakeholders in the development of training solutions that support services growth, operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, organisational change and colleague engagement.
Working from home with time out on the road visiting your training academies, you’ll be flexible in your approach having the freedom to plan and organise your own day.
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Designing and developing training plans that align to strategy, business and people plans- Leading and managing a team of technical trainers and maintaining the technical training facilities to the highest standard
- Leading the design and development of blended learning programmes that support growth of our technical, compliance and manufacturer led training
- Consulting and partnering within relevant stakeholders as appropriate, to build insight into existing levels of capability against future requirements, identifying skills gaps and risks
- Measuring the outcomes and impact of any training/ plans, to demonstrate a return on investment and expectation to monitor performance versus objectives
You will need:
Proven experience of working as a Training/Learning Manager. Specific experience in Retail, Supply Chain or Services Operations would be an advantage- Experience in developing, designing and implementing training plans/solutions with clear measurable business outcomes and return on investment
- A highly collaborative nature, coupled with excellent communication skills including effectively managing relationships and influencing at all levels
- Level 5 CIPD in Learning & Development or equivalent or be willing to undertake this qualification
