RFFS Training & Development Manager with previous experience in Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service, creating and implementing training to meeting the requirements of CAP 699 and the ability to inspire, develop and stretch people to meet operational requirements is required for an airport based in Farnborough, Hampshire, South East England.
The RFFS Training & Development Manager will work across the full range of Fire Service activities at the Airport to ensure the team are capable, competent and compliant in fulfilling their duties.
SALARY: £27,000 per annum Actual Part-Time Salary + Excellent Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Farnborough, Hampshire, South East England
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week with some flexibility required across shifts

g as the RFFS Training & Development Manager you will promote development and continuous improvement within the RFFS and in line with the department’s Training Policy.
As the RFFS Training & Development Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and recording of training primarily to meet the requirements of the CAP 699 framework and maintain the department’s competency scheme.

DUTIES
Your duties as the RFFS Training & Development Manager include:
Undertaking Training gap analyses of new recruits to identify training needs
Identifying the training and courses required to comply with mandatory requirements and regulations
Identifying appropriate training and courses to develop individuals and RFFS roles to ensure they are best equipped for the duties that they are required to perform
Establishing a Lead Verification role for training competency and provide audit data
Maintaining the RFFS career progression model in line with training and industry requirements and best practise
Overseeing and monitoring Personal Development Programmes
Translating operational requirements into comprehensive, structured training packages
Effectively collaborating with fellow Learning & Development (L&D) professionals in the identification, development, and delivery of training
Working collaboratively with stakeholders and companies to positively promote the RFFS and the Airport
Overseeing the safe management and maintenance of the RFFS Fire Training area to include the Fire Training simulator, Microbac, classroom and all associated training areas and equipment
Working with the Fire Service Manager and Finance department to deliver the training and maintenance of training facilities within budgetary terms
Pro-actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the department
Always adhering to compliance and safety standards and environmental policies and guidelines
Assisting with airport incident and crisis management as required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in Airport Rescue & Firefighting Service with extensive experience in the creation and implementation of training to meet the requirements of CAP699
Good working knowledge of the regulatory environment under which the RFFS operates and practical application of relevant documentation such as that produced by the CAA
Experience of safety, environmental and quality management systems
Ability to Inspire, develop and stretch people to meet operational requirements and continuous development
Professional Safety qualification
Teaching and assessing award including quality assurance
Good knowledge of CAP 699
Working knowledge of training record systems
Highly motivated, with the ability to work on their own and under pressure in a multi-stakeholder environment
Computer literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to obtain an Airport Airside driving permit
